Bio

Paulo was born in Luanda, the capital of Angola, while it was a Portuguese colony. The wilderness, the tropical climate, and the scenery, were the main references he kept from those years. On his 8th anniversary he moved to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), where he spent all his childhood, and where he was deeply influenced by the relationship with the beach, the water sports, soccer, and all the surrounding nature (and slums). Paulo lived as a “Carioca” for thirteen years, and after this period he left Brazil, to live in Portugal. It was a spiritually profound change.

Nowadays Paulo is still living in Portugal, and spending all of his personal time with his passions: his Family, Surf, Photography, Filming, and Travelling.

Among his favorite places are the Hawaiian Islands, Canada, Australia, Japan, and the South Pacific region. Paulo has traveled a couple of times to the Hawaiian Islands. It’s like if his spirit was called by the Hawaiian Gods to be part of this land. Paulo got to know some of the islands from the archipelago, like Oahu, The Big Island, and Maui. He was amazed by the power of the nature, and the culture and traditions of Hawaiian people. It has a lot to do with him, since he has a deep connection to the Ocean.

Paulo is much concerned about the damage that the over population is causing to the Planet Earth and the environment. The effect of overpopulation is pollution and scarcity. Most all of the world's problems today are the result of overpopulation. Too many people mean famine, disease, stress (resulting in conflict), pollution and poverty.

Man asked for himself the ownership of the Planet, but the Planet doesn’t belong uniquely to him, it belongs to all the species that inhabitant its lands and oceans. Because of the tremendous excess in population, people are occupying the areas of another living species, people are over polluting the earth, people are consuming every resource available, people are taking from the ocean in a frenetic way, that it’s impossible to replace or grow back.

Paulo is inspired by the ones who act against this behavior, the ones that protect the species and the nature, and the ones true at heart.
